On Wednesday 12 March, the Australian symbol of peace,
a huge purple ribbon, will be draped from the Clayton
Wesley Church on Norwood Parade. This will launch
the South Australian Purple Ribbon Campaign and will
be attended by parliamentarians Vini Ciccarello and
Francis Bedford (ALP) and Sandra Kanck (Democrats)
as well as prominent church leaders.
Purple is the
colour of LENT, the current season for the Christian
churches. As we move through Lent towards Palm Sunday
the traditional day of peace, purple ribbons will
be available through NOWAR.
Join us and thousands
of other Australians in wearing a purple ribbon on
your collar or shirt front to show that peace is possible.
Watch out for more huge purple ribbons to be draped
from other Adelaide churches.
