something to light the candles (preferably a lighter, if you have one, in
case of wind) Bring a rug or chair if you want to sit down. Join in this

call for candlelight vigils around the world on march 16th to say yes to
peace -- and no to war with Iraq.

peace - spread from King William St to the War Memorial. Bring
candles/torch, lighters, paper cups for candles, etc. Some people will go on
after to Symphony Under the Stars in Elder Park.

Meet at 7pm near the playgrounds within Rymill Park, but we won't start the
vigil until 7.30. Then we'll have a 15 minute vigil. Bring along candles,
paper cups, a lighter, blankets or chairs and anything else you can think of
that will be useful!

The vigil will be conducted on a beautiful country property in Wistow and
will follow a sweatlodge ceremony held weekly at 6pm on the same property
the theme of which will be living peace. For questions about sweatlodge,
what it is, how to participate please ring, you are most welcome to attend.
At 7pm we will conduct the candlelight vigil, bring your own candle, we will
culminate with some appropraite songs and shared food so please bring a
plate.

The Rotunda in Elder Park
King William Street, Adelaide, SA
Please join us at the Rotunda in Elder Park at 7:00pm, where we will meet
together and light our candles symbolising the light of peace shining in the
darkness of a world threatened by war. At 7:15pm we will walk silently up
King William Street and then down North Terrace to the War Memorial. At the
War Memorial we will stand united in our hope for peace before the War
Memorial which commemorates the tragic loss of lives in warfare. Please
bring candles, paper cups to place your candles in to protect them from the
wind and to protect your hands from the hot wax, and cigarette lighters to
light the candles. This will be a Peace Vigil, not a protest rally, and our
silence and light will speak our message of peace for us. Please join us!:)
